FileViewer Image files are opened on the preview screen by clicking a file name. Open the image on the Paintlet canvas by clicking the Canvas button. View the image in a separate window by clicking View. Paintlet does not actually delete any files, however, a file can be moved to folders named ptTrash and ptArchive by clicking the Trash and Archive buttons. These folders are created automatically. They will be located within the Paintlet deployment directory. Use the computer's file browser to periodically empty the ptTrash folder, if desired. |

While clicking the up icon opens the FileViewer, clicking the
top mini button opens a file dialog to your favorite folder. The
bottom mini button opens your favorite file to the canvas.
Set either of these favorites by right clicking the mini button. The down icon opens the file saving dialog. Image files can be saved in jpg, png or bmp file formats. The bmp format will produce the largest file size, with no loss in image quality. The jpg and png formats will result in smaller file sizes. The best format to use depends on the file size and image quality produced by each format. This varies depending on the particular graphic being saved. Experiment and see what works best. The file-saving format is set in the Paintlet Properties dialog. Default format is jpg. |
